Which aerator should I buy?

Choosing which hood to buy can be a difficult decision. Below we show you some of the key points to consider when buying the perfect hood for your kitchen, as well as the different types of hoods you can find on our website.

Decorative
For design lovers, decorative headboards are the best choice. They are ideal for all kitchens and can be installed in a variety of ways. They have all the features and you can choose from several types: Vertical, Horizontal, Pyramid or Island.

Module
Plate and head in the same device. Thanks to the versatility of the VarioPro series, you can create your own kitchen and place the head wherever you want. In addition, they work through a recirculation extraction system, which makes them more durable.

Internal
Integrated hoods are the best choice for discreet kitchens, as they are almost imperceptible and help maintain the harmony of the space. Choose from our integrated or drop-down hood models.

Classic
Classic headers are a more traditional option, but offer excellent performance. They are installed under the upper cabinet in a practical and convenient way. In addition, it is not necessary to give up the design, because Teka offers models in white, black and stainless steel.

Fundamentals and Capacities

Other important considerations when choosing which hood to buy are hood size and removal capacity. It should be at least as wide as the stove, and that's why we have hoods from 40cm to 120cm.

In addition, we must take into account that the hood should be at least 65 cm above the gas stove and 60 cm above the electric stove. In any case, if the distance is greater, we recommend checking the hood installation instructions.

Calculate the extraction capacity your kitchen needs:
kitchen m² x its height= m³
m³ x 12 = extraction capacity required for this area.
For example, if the area of your kitchen is 12 m² and the height is 2.5 m:

12 m² x 2.5 m = 30 m³ is the total volume of the kitchen.
30 m³ x 12 = 360 m³/hour

A 12 m² kitchen needs a nozzle with a capacity of 360 m³/h for efficient drilling.

Installation

Vented hoods move air out of the kitchen, while recirculating hoods use several types of filters to clean the air and then recirculate the air into the kitchen.
These are equipped with filters that remove absorbed smoke and purify the air. They absorb oil and odors and return them cleanly to our kitchens.

External access
External exhaust hoods collect air from the kitchen and send it outside the house.

Air recirculation
Recirculation hoods suck air from the kitchen. This circulates through filters that clean and purify the air, absorbing grease and foul odors and returning it to the kitchen.

Types of extraction:

You can find three types of extraction: traditional, perimeter or dual. The dual system combines both and makes it the most efficient.

Cleaning

To keep hood cleaning from becoming a real headache, we've created pistons that hold the door open so the filters are easier to access. The hoods have a filter saturation indicator that alerts you to let you know when cleaning is needed.

Easy Clean Collector
The Easy Clean Collector system collects the filtered oil. Depending on the type, the filters can be washed both in the dishwasher and in the oven.

Clean Air System
This function remains active for 24 hours and refreshes the air by turning it on at intervals of 10 minutes and turning it off silently for 50 minutes.
It is an ideal function to get rid of bad odors as it always keeps your home fresh. With new state-of-the-art regenerative filters* you can keep your home odor free. They eliminate up to 95% of odors in about three years.
